Sketch #45 - Bailey's first trip to the Zoo

Yea! I am getting back into scrapping a little every evening. I just finished this weeks sketch. The pictures are just a few from our zoo trip, so I have a few more zoo layouts planned.

Just Ducky

Bailey was so cute in her Halloween costume! She has had a cold and a fever for a few days, so she won't be Trick or Treating, but she is going to her Aunt Rena's house to help pass out candy.
Update- after a visit to the doctor, it turns out that it was an ear infection. Taking meds now and doing much better.

Cookie Good

I did it, got back into my scrap stash and finished a page. After picking up about 160 pictures at Walmart and a trip to "The Scrapbook Princess", I put together this page. Bailey with her first teething cookie. It was messy, but she loved it!
This one is a variation of a past Becky Higgins sketch and sketch #28.

It's been too long!

It has been a while since I created anything or even posted a blog. I hope to change that. My scrap table is clean and begging to be used. I have pics from Bailey's first birthday, printed and ready to go. Now all I need is time and I plan to do a little each day and get back into it.

Since my last post in late May, Crystal and Aidan visited us (6 weeks), we visited the Zoo, we made a few trips to Florida, celebrated Bailey's birthday and so much more.

Sketch 21 - Precious

This week I decided to scrap a pic of my Grandson for a change. I don't have as many pics of him, as he lives in California. Soon he will be here for a long visit (about 5-6 weeks). I'm sure we will get lots of cute pics of Aidan and Bailey together. I also used some of my older paper and embellishments. I like when I find a use for some of my stash. I really need to use more of it.

Sketch 20 - Little Pumpkin

My sister Rena got this cute little outfit for Bailey when she arrived. It was her first gift in the hospital and Her first holiday outfit. The top pic was taken on October 28. The two other pics were taken on October 5. She looked so cute and wore it all through October. Everyone giggled at her little pumpkin butt.

Sketch 19 - You Color Our World

I have never been big on scrapbooking with bright colors, but Bailey has has truly colored our world. My recent pages have had lots of bright colors to go with her colorful personality, clothing and bright toys.

Happy Mother's Day!

We started the day by going to church for Bailey's Baptism. There were 15 of us, Bailey, her mom and dad, 2 sets of grandparents, 3 great grandparents, an aunt, an uncle, a great aunt, a second cousin, a family friend and lots of church friends. Everyone came back to our house for dinner after church and we took lots of pictures. Everything went well. Bailey really didn't what all the fuss was about, but it was obvious that she is loved by many.

Sketch 18 - Curious Little Monkey

Finished this one this evening after everyone had left and I had cleaned up a bit. After being the cook, photographer and hostess all day, I needed a little time to scrapbook and unwind.

Aidan's First Egg Hunt

I have been keeping up with the weekly sketches, but this week I decided to go back to one I missed prior to starting. This was the sketch for week 3 and it worked well with the pics I had downloaded of Aidan's first egg hunt.
We don't get to see Aidan as often as we would like, but we do watch him grow through pictures uploaded on Crystal's My Space page.

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

It's NSB day and what plans do I have to celebrate it you ask? Well whenever the rain lets up I will be off to Hobby Lobby to pick up my " Bind it All". I will most likely do a little more shopping there, stop by Michael's and the local SB store. Then I plan to come back home and play with my supplies and hopefully get a few pages/challenges completed. Some where I will have to make time for house cleaning and laundry, but those things are just not top of my list today.
I hope to upload and share what I have accomplished later today.

I am buying/using many more bright colors now days, although I still tend to ink the edges of most papers. Bailey loved all the bright colors of the toys in her Easter basket.

T.G.I.F.

This has been a long week. So much going on (Easter, Taxes, Birthday). I never got a chance to slow down (except at work). My house is a mess(or at least I think so), and I have piles of laundry, some needs to be washed and some just needs to be folded and put away. However, I did take time to create a page using this weeks sketch. I had a rough time deciding what pic and colors, etc. to use for this one. I finally went with cardstock, paint and ink (no pattern paper).
I really needed a little time to relax, unwind and create!
Tomorrow, I'll be off to buy a new scrapbook toy or two with my birthday money.

Easter

We had a nice Easter!

We attended service at Alyssa's church in Branchville, it was the first in their new building. It was Tony, myself, Alyssa, David and Bailey. Rena also met us there.

Later we had everyone at our house for Dinner. Kourtney, BJ and my Dad also came. By days end, Bailey was worn out, as were the rest of us.

I really could have used another day to get some things done and maybe relax a bit.

Sketch 14 - "She" Caputred Our Hearts

From the moment she looked at us with those big eyes, she had us. She was so alert and checking out everyone. There were lot's of visitors waiting for her arrival.

Sketch 13 - St Patrick's Day

I did it! My 3rd week, my 3rd sketch layout. My sweet grand daughter, Bailey on her 1st St Patrick's Day. My table is now a mess, as I was having a little difficulty deciding on how to make my title. I tried some computer generated words, played with paint and foam stamps, tried some grunge board, pulled out several types of sticker letters, ran to The Scrapbook Princess to look for more sticker letters and finally decided on letters cut using the Sizzix and then topped them with a little Stickles. I'm happy with the final page, although I may add a little ink to the edges. I love inking my paper!

Discover ...Tiny Hands...Tiny Feet

On track, here's Sketch 12 for week 12. I had to find the perfect green to match the little cupcake on her outfit. I can't believe with all the paper I have there wasn't anything that color.
She is our little cupcake. Her mama doesn't like her putting her feet in her mouth, but I think it's just cute!

Introducing Bailey

It's been a while since I actually sat down at my desk and created anything. Here's the newest subject of my scrapbooks and the first of many layouts featuring my beautiful granddaughter, Bailey. Since it had been a while I decided to start with a sketch. I recently found 52 sketches...52 weeks. This was sketch #11. I'm planning to do at least one a week, hopefully more.
